Drifter rods, also professionally known as tunneling steels or drifting drill rods, are engineered for high-performance underground drilling applications. Featuring a hexagonal H28 body shape, these rock drilling tools deliver superior rigidity, optimal weight distribution, and exceptionally efficient energy transfer compared to round rods, while significantly increasing flushing performance to clear debris faster.

To maximize durability under heavy impact, the drive end of our drifting drill steel is precision-bumped. This added structural strength seamlessly accommodates larger diameters and heavy-duty shank adapters at the rock drill end. Available in a complete range of standard lengths, our drifter rods are perfectly matched to the drill feeds of various modern drifting jumbos.

To ensure maximum performance, reliability, and extended service life in toughest rock formations, we utilize two premium heat-treatment technologies to strengthen our percussive drill string components:

• Full Carburization (全渗碳工艺): High-grade alloy steel undergoes an advanced chemical heat treatment to create a high-hardness outer case while maintaining a tough, impact-resistant core. This process significantly improves fatigue strength and wear resistance.

• Medium Frequency Induction Surface Quenching (中频感应表面淬火): Targeted surface hardening that optimizes thread hardness, effectively minimizing thread wear and preventing premature breakage under high-torque drilling conditions.
